    Update to Big Freedia Documentary kickstarter!

    I wrote a message to the person who wrote the text for the Big Freedia Documentary kickstarter about the pronoun issue, and she wrote me back thanking me and fixed it!

    Don’t be afraid to donate y’all.  The great thing about kickstarter is that you can donate any amount (over $1) and they won’t charge you a think until the project is funded (so you can set a few bucks aside until then).

    Bounce music first flourished in the music-saturated New Orleans housing projects and spread throughout the Southern US after Hurricane Katrina dispersed its artists. The music is generating a revolution, pushing boundaries beyond race class and sexual identification. This documentary is about more than just a gay Bounce rapper from New Orleans who shakes his ass. It’s a universal tale encompassed in the persona of an incredible artist, the Queen Diva of New Orleans, Big Freedia. 

    I have no idea why the pronouns in the kickstarter description are “he” - but whatever….the trailer is AMAZING (and the pronouns are right in it!).
